Alkaline/ High Vibration Diet For Healing and Health

We live an energetic existence. Thanks to the sun, everything has its own energy field and vibrates at a certain frequency. The human body has a frequency that ranges between 60-80 Mghz. Like everything, food vibrates at different frequencies depending on what it is. High vibrational food are those fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds that grow closest to the sun. The sun provides energy, so it makes sense that those raw plant-based foods will have the highest vibration.
The higher the vibration of food, the higher the alkalinity.
Life Force, Energy, Chi, Prana, Manna
Consuming high vibrational food supplies us with a constant source of energy— depending on the culture it’s known as life force or energy, chi, prana, or manna. No matter what you call it (for our purposes in this article we’ll call it “energy”), energy is a universal thread that unites our human experience.
Most would agree that “energy” is something we feel. Something we really notice when we have an abundance of it and feel like we can do anything or when our energy levels are low and we feel tired and sluggish.
In times of optimum health, our energy is fluid and vibrant, supplying us with energy and optimum health. When our energy is blocked due to poor nutritional and wellness choices, our essential energy cannot flow freely and over time, we begin to experience deteriorating health. By choosing high vibrational, alkaline foods our body is able to do what it was designed to do: detox, to restore harmony and balance our incredible ecosystem.
Our blood pH has an ideal range of 7.35 to 7.45. (7.0 is neutral, anything above is alkaline, anything below is acid.) If our blood is too acid, our body will leach calcium (alkaline) from our bones and teeth. Too much acid also creates a fertile ground for cancer and disease.
An interesting thing to note is that the actual pH of the food item itself can differ from how the food changes the pH of tissues as it is digested. Lemons, for example, are acidic in nature. However, once digested, they have an alkalizing effect on the body. That is why drinking lemon water is so beneficial.
Raw plant-based foods that grow closest to the sun will have the highest vibration and will be highly alkaline-forming in our bodies. Leafy greens which contain chlorophyll, energy synthesized by sunlight, are always a great choice. (Foods become more acid as they are cooked.) The following is a selection of common foods and where they fall on the scale.
High Vibration/ Highly Alkaline-Forming Foods
Artichokes, arugula, asparagus, avocado, beets, broccoli, cabbage, carrots, cauliflower, celery, chlorella, chives, cilantro, collards, cucumber, eggplant, figs, garlic, ginger, green beans, lemon, lettuce, lima beans, lime, mineral water, onions, parsley, peas, peppers, pumpkin, sea salt, sea vegetables, seaweed, soy beans, spinach, sprouted beans/ grains/ seeds, squash, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, watercress, zucchini.
Moderately High Vibration/ Alkaline-Forming Foods
Almonds, brazil nuts, chia seeds, cumin, flax seeds, hazelnuts, hemp seeds, fresh herbs, poppy seeds, pumpkin seeds, sesame seeds, stevia, sunflower seeds, tofu
Low Alkaline-Forming Foods (Still High Vibration)
Apples, apricots, bananas, blueberries, cantaloupe, cherries, cold-pressed oils, dates, grapes, grapefruit, kiwi, mandarin oranges, mangos, nectarines, olive oil (expeller pressed), oranges, papayas, peaches, pears, pineapples, plums, pomegranates, raspberries, rosehips, strawberries, tangerines, watermelon
Very Low Alkaline-Forming Foods (Still High Vibration)
Black-eyed peas, fava beans, mushrooms, pecans, quinoa, rice (basmati, brown and wild), vegetable broth, cooked vegetables, walnuts
Neutral Foods
Butter (organic pastured-raised raw), coconut meat and water, ghee, milk (organic pastured-raised raw), water (pure, not tap), yogurt (organic, pasture-raised raw)
Slightly Lower Vibration/ Very Low Acid-Forming Foods
Agave nectar, brown rice syrup, corn, fish (fresh water), honey (raw unpasteurized), lentils, milk (homogenized), maple syrup, olives, oysters, soft goat and cow cheeses
Slightly Lower Vibration/ Low Acid-Forming Foods
Cashews, Cheese (hard, aged), corn oil, cranberries, peanuts, pistachios, sugar (turbinado), soy sauce, tapioca, vanilla
Moderately Lower Vibration/ Moderately Acid-Forming Foods
Bacon, beef, chicken, eggs, crab, lobster, oats, fish (ocean), pasta, pork, rice (white), sausages, shrimp, turkey, veal
Low Vibration/ High Acid-Forming Foods
Alcohol, artificial food coloring, artificial sweeteners, beer, black tea, processed cheese, coffee, corn meal, high fructose corn syrup, crackers, fried foods, gluten (barley, oats, rye, wheat), ham, ice cream, jelly, peanut butter, vinegar, wine, white sugar, yeast, all soft drinks (*to neutralize one glass of cola with a pH of 2.8, it would take 32 glasses of alkaline water with a pH of 7.4!)
The 80/20 Rule
Remember the 80/20% rule? This applies to eating for pH balance. Choose 80% of your food from the High Vibration/ Low-Alkaline Forming Foods. Ideally of that 80%, look for those foods in the top tiers of highly or moderately high alkaline forming. Think raw fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds grown closest to the sun to keep it simple.
